Solar Eclipse Joint Information Center

As part of the state's planning, the Joint Information Center activated Thursday, February 29, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The purpose of the Center is to coordinate information being shared by state agencies to the public and members of the media.

The Center includes public information officers from the Department of Safety, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Business and Economic Development, Department of Transportation, Department of Natural and Cultural Resources and the Department of Education.

Since the activation, the Center has responded to seven inquiries from media and members of the public.
