Citizen vigilance plays a vital role in preventing terrorism and other criminal activity. Vigilance does not mean spying. It means noticing what is around you and recognizing when something is out of the ordinary.

The people who know the most about a neighborhood are the people who live there. The people who know the most about a particular route are those who drive it every day.

Through the Information & Analysis Center, you can let authorities know if you notice something out of the ordinary. You can report anonymously or give your name. Either way, your information will be taken seriously, analyzed, and acted on as needed.

What is Suspicious Activity?

Terrorist events don't just happen. There is a certain amount of planning and preparation that must take place. It is during this time that they may be most vulnerable to detection.

Whatever doesn't look or seem normal to the place, time or situation might be considered as suspicious activity.

No one knows what goes on in your neighborhood better than you. You may see things or hear things that seem out of the ordinary and may indicate suspicious or illegal conduct. Law enforcement officials in New Hampshire often rely on the instincts and perceptions of citizens to detect activity that is out of the ordinary.
